In October to December 2025, a total of 267 islanders were homeless - a decline from previous quarters in the same year.
This fluctuation is a change from previous data, which showed homelessness in Jersey was rising.

The data comes from the quarterly Homelessness in Jersey Report, which is sent to the Housing Minister.
But it's unclear as to what has caused the change.
Deputy Sam Mézec said:
“Whilst I welcome the overall reduction in the number of people seeking support during the fourth quarter of 2025, this must not lead to complacency.
Our commitment to addressing and resolving homelessness for islanders remains unwavering.”
The number of service visits in each quarter of 2025 ranged from 278 to 348, and the number of service users ranged from 267 to 341.
Women facing homelessness in Jersey tend to be younger than 45, whilst men are less likely to face homelessness in their 30s and 40s - tending to either be younger than 25, or older than 56.
Fleeing domestic abuse remains the top reason for homelessness amongst women, at 26% of cases, with substance use for men, at 14%.
Young people struggling to manage independently remain a large reason for homelessness in this age group, for both men and women.
This is at 9% of the reasons for men and at 15% for women in 2025.
There also appears to be difficulties in receiving support to move into independent living situations.
Residency with emergency accommodation providers is becoming more long-term, with 40% of those in such accommodation being there for over 6 months
