Most public sector workers in Jersey will be getting a 4% pay rise from the 1st January.
The latest inflation figure - on which most pay deals for government staff has been based - has been published.
Teachers, nurses, police and civil servants are among those whose 2020 pay rise has been confirmed as 4% with the release of the September Retail Price Index.
It's 2.7%, and most public sector groups have either accepted or had imposed on them the offer of 1.3% above RPI.
It is a slight fall in the annual rate of inflation, down from 2.8% in June and is the lowest for more than two years (since June 2017)
But it is still higher than the UK's 1.9%.
