Jersey Airport's new Managing Director has apologised after long delays at security this morning (28 July), which led to some people missing their flights.
Dale Reeson said, following an unexpected staff illness, processing through security was slower, which led to longer queues and passenger delays.
In a video posted on social media, Mr Reeson added:
"My team have worked with those affected to ensure they got to their destination as quickly as possible.
"I want to assure you that we know how important travel plans are, and completely understand how frustrating and stressful it is when things don't go to plan.
"I will make sure, when the unexpected happens, our team is on hand to work with you as quickly as possible.
"However, there are always lessons that we can learn, and we are starting an immediate and thorough review on today's issues to ensure that we can put in place measures to make sure that this doesn't happen again."
