Jersey football star recalls 'hectic' title-winning Celtic drama

The Jerseyman who scored the goal that clinched the Scottish Premiership title for Celtic has been recalling the 'hectic' and 'crazy' moment - admitting he's watched it back hundreds of times!

Callum Osmand, 20, who was born and raised in Jersey, came off the bench to net the third goal in the 3-1 victory over title-rivals Hearts, leading to jubilant scenes at Parkhead.

Osmand said:

"I thought there was a keeper still in goal so I'm thinking I need to make sure I get this right! As soon as I got a bit closer, I looked up and saw there was no keeper and it was just a joyful moment.

"(The celebrations) were hectic, I don't think I could see for a good 30 seconds! Everyone was just ecstatic!"

The young forward had only just returned from a long injury lay-off for the winner-takes-all clash, having suffered a serious hamstring injury in a Europa League defeat against Midtjylland in Denmark.

Osmand added:

"Its been a grind - the last six months have been really tough, but I was just speaking to the physios and they've all been great with me, 1% every day and then gets me to this point where I'm feeling better than I ever have and I'm really happy with where I am at the moment."
