Jersey's latest population figures show a 510 increase in the number of people living in the island.
Statistics Jersey estimates the island's population at the end of 2024 was 104,540, compared to 104,030 the year before (a revised number of +380).
The report found that the ageing population continues to grow.
Jersey saw a 12% in people aged 65 and over and 7% decrease in those aged under 16.
The average age in Jersey last year was 44.5 years old, compared to 41.3 years old in 2024.
There were also more deaths than births, with only 730 babies being born, compared to 880 islanders dying last year.
However, the population was sustained by 670 more people moving to the island than leaving.
More than half of the people living in Jersey are dependent on the working population (those aged 16 to 64).
"Without migration, the working age population would have fallen every year since 2012 (by an average of 240 people per year) due to ageing and deaths."

Old age dependency has risen from 23.1% in 2014 to 30.1% in 2024 (i.e. 3 in 10 islanders are older dependants).
The report shows that most people who do not hold an Entitled status in Jersey are of working age, and levels of immigration and emigration last year were similar to those in 2023 and have returned to levels seen in the pre-COVID years.
Despite the net inward migration, over the five years, the number of Registered license holders dropped by 3% to 5,430, despite 960 people moving to the island under that status last year.
People who hold a registered status are more likely to move to Jersey, but also more likely to leave as well.
This compares to a 2% increase in Entitled islanders to 70,430 since 2019.
The increase in Entitled islanders is thought to be due to the number of people who gain the status each year, as 810 left Jersey in 2024.
