A new daily service is launching between Southampton and Jersey in 2026.
Loganair is increasing its connectivity from Jersey to the southern English city with additional daily flights on its Embraer 145 jet.
The route will launch in early 2026, with tickets available to buy towards the end of this year.
Islanders with additional medical needs that cannot be met in Jersey often fly to Southampton for hospital appointments.
Recently, Blue Islands has been delivering the lifeline route to and from the city.
A Loganair spokesperson says the airline is delighted with the announcement.
"We recognise how important a reliable and resilient service is between Jersey and Southampton, and we are looking forward to serving these communities with the new route, set to commence in early 2026.
“We are also looking forward to supporting inbound tourism to Jersey, boosting the visitor economy and working in partnership with the outstanding local hospitality sector."
People travelling with the regional airline will have 21kg of luggage allowance, allocated seating, in-flight refreshments and the ability to collect Avios points.
Loganair also has a fleet of 36 aircraft and flies to 35 UK airports.
