A 41-year-old man has been found guilty of inciting a sexual act with a child and making indecent images of children.
The Royal Court found Krzystof Kamil Lis guilty today, 10 July.
Lis approached a 14-year-old girl on the Railway Walk in St Brelade and handed her a note inciting sexual activity with her, in September 2022.
He told the child not to tell anyone about it.
The girl reported what happened to a teacher at her school, who then called the police.
Officers arrested Lis and seized his phone, which was found to contain two Category B and 40 Category C indecent images of children on it.
Police Sergeant James Clark has praised the victim for speaking out:
“The girl in this case must be commended for coming forward and reporting this to her teacher and stopping Lis doing this to another young girl.
