Emergency services are warning islanders to drive with care after attending a number of road traffic collisions in 24 hours.
Luckily, no one has been seriously injured. However, it has been enough for emergency personnel to issue advice for motorists.
Inspector Lawrence Courtness, States of Jersey Roads Policing Lead, asks all road users to slow down, allow extra space, and drive to the conditions.
"After a dry period, the first rain can lift oil and grime to the surface, making roads slick and unpredictable."
Three accidents happened yesterday, with 'slipping' being cited as the most common cause.
Two vehicles were involved in a crash near Morrisons on La Grande Route de St Jean, there was another collision near Midlands Stores along La Grande Route de Saint-Martin, and a car flipped on St Aubin's Hill in St Brelade (pictured above).
After long, dry spells, as we have just seen, dirt and oil build up on the roads.
Although when it rains heavily, the grime comes to the surface, resulting in slippery roads and 'hazardous' driving conditions.
