A new social space and sports bar is opening on Beresford Street, taking a step away from traditional late-night clubbing in the aim of changing with the times.
At the moment, the bar is a work in progress, with 'plenty' of renovations continuing before its opening.
The Lounge Sports Bar will span across three floors, featuring TVs for match days and large events, seating, pool tables, dart boards and shuffleboards.
The roof terrace will also be reopened.

In a statement, The Lounge says it is the 'same building' but a 'completely different direction'.
The new business aims to evolve with nightlife attitudes, adopting a 'laid-back' social approach.
It says it wants to be somewhere islanders can 'drop in' during the day, to enjoy the space, before the atmosphere 'naturally shifts' into a 'lively' evening venue.
"We’re not trying to reinvent nightlife — we’re trying to create a place that fits how people actually socialise now."

It replaces X, which closed in early 2026, marking the third failed business at the Beresford Street site in two and a half years.
The latest nightclub at the site was only open for a few months, after taking over from a Portuguese Community Centre in 2025.
