Updated plans for Fort Regent are being shared with islanders.
The Government of Jersey and Jersey Development Company are inviting islanders to the updated proposals for the Fort following extensive community engagement and design development.
This included a survey of over 6,000 islanders, alongside presentations to 2,000 students across all secondary schools
Shared so far is changes to the The East Ditch, which will feature a 3x3 basketball court, informal hoops, climbing structures, a parkour zone, and a pump track designed for BMX and mountain biking.
We also know that the former Queen’s Hall (The Rotunda) will be designed to host a wide range of events while improving connectivity through the Fort at the ground floor level.
There will lifts and staircases to the new arena level and the ramparts.
At ground level an indoor boulevard will link the Piazza to the Northern Parade, and the route will house a shop, ticket office, and café along with an immersive art installation on the ceiling.

The main plans for the Fort's £110 million renovation were revealed in April last year, and received 'overwhelming support'.

The Minister for Infrastructure, Constable Andy Jehan, said:
