Two fields next to St Saviour's Parish Hall could be turned into a new park with facilities for parishioners to enjoy.

It has been suggested that Fields S514 and S515 be developed in June 2026 and turned into a new space for the community.

So far, ideas include 40 more parking spaces, with new pedestrian crossings and pathways on St Saviour's Hill and La Rue de Patier, respectively.

On the less practical and more fun side of things, islanders may also get a nature trail and green area, which will include benches and 'equipment'.

The parish also wants a new Community Centre and cafe, which will act as a multifunctional space for parishioners to use to keep the spaces 'active and vibrant'.

Outside, there will be a children's playground and a new pétanque pitch.

Islanders can have their say in what they want to see as part of the public consultation.

A drop in session is due to be held at the Parish Hall on Monday 19 May between 4.30-6.30pm.

This marks the first stage of the 14-month-long process before spades can hit the ground.

A planning application can be expected to be submitted by September 2025, and construction to start in June 2026.
