There won't be a big screen in a Jersey park showing the remaining World Cup matches.
With England through to the quarter finals of the tournament, many people will be wondering of there will be a public fanzone like we had for in Howard Davis Park for Euro 2024.
Back in May, businesses were being encouraged to back a free community sports festival, intended to show the latter stages of the football World Cup games and Wimbledon.
The government agreed to put up some money, but the private organisers have failed to secure enough sponsorship to make it happen.
A government spokesperson told Channel 103 that, given the late kick off times being less suitable for families, it would not be appropriate to provide any more taxpayers' money.
They also said many pubs have applied to stay open late to provide a venue where people can watch the games together.
For Euro 2024, the government and JFA worked together to put on free ticketed screenings of games for the knockout stages.
England next play Norway in the last 8 of the 2026 World Cup on Saturday 11 July at 10pm.
Portugal are out of the tournament, losing 1-0 to neighbours Spain in the last 16.
