The first part of the transformed Departure Lounge at Jersey Airport is expected to open in mid-November.
Construction work started in January to upgrade the area, with departing passengers having to reroute along a walkway once they pass through security.
Ports of Jersey says the new lounge will offer a more spacious, comfortable, and contemporary environment for passengers, featuring an improved layout, more seats, and a new mezzanine level with runway views.
The design was developed with representatives from charities, business, tourism, heritage, arts, and passenger group to celebrate the culture and beauty of Jersey.
Features include:
- Wicker Jersey cows
- Striking aerial imagery of the island
- A Martello-inspired lift tower
- Skylarks flying overhead
- A family area themed around Plémont Bay
Matt Thomas, Chief Executive at Ports of Jersey, said:
"Every week brings us closer to opening a Departure Lounge that will massively enhance the experience for our passengers, while showcasing the very best of Jersey.
"From the wonderful design features through to the smallest finishing touches, it has been a privilege to work with incredible partners from across the island to create a space that celebrates Jersey, while providing a more enjoyable and comfortable start to every journey.
"We can't wait for our passengers to see the new Departure Lounge and would like to thank our partners at Ashbe Construction and everyone involved for the tremendous effort that has brought us to this point."
The plan is to open the lounge to passengers towards the end of the week starting 9 November.
The next phases will continue into 2027, with POJ saying passengers can look forward to an improved food and drink offering, a larger Assisted Travel lounge, a refurbishment of the main toilets and a retail store showcasing Genuine Jersey produce.
