Young islanders are being invited to sing in the Gala Choir and perform at the Opera House's reopening.
Pupils from Year 3 to Year 13 are being asked to audition for a chance to perform on the stage, which has lain dormant for five years.
The Gala Choir is directed by Nick Carver (Director) and Luke Brown (Musical Director), with Victoria Hermitage as Choreographer.
They form the creative team, which will lead the project, all the way from auditions on 27 July to the last show on 5 October 2025.
Nick says the Gala is a community event, and it would be wonderful for the island's children and young people to get involved.
"There are going to be many young people out there who probably won't have been on the Opera House stage yet because they're too young and it's been a while since it's been open, and there might be some who haven't performed there since they were quite small.
"We wanted to be able to reach out to the community and say 'You can be part of this' and it's something special, so we thought a youth choir would a great way to do that."

Young islanders in full-time education over the age of seven can apply for a slot to perform this Sunday, with the 75-minute sessions running from 9:45 am to 16:30 pm.
There will be group warm-ups and singing exercises to get ready for the audition, and then everyone will be asked to sing a little solo.
The song chosen for the audition is 'True Colours' by Cyndi Lauper.
After everyone has finished singing, there will also be a short tour of the auditorium to give the young people a sneak peek of the finished Opera House.
Children applying for a role in the choir must be able to perform on the 3, 4 and 5 October 2025 and attend all key rehearsals.

Once a place is confirmed, participants will receive full audition details, including sheet music for the audition song, a rehearsal schedule, and a personal details form.
