Organisers share schedule for 2025 Jersey Air Display

Credit: Jersey International Air Display

This year has been the 'most difficult to organise', but islanders can still expect their Jersey Air Display favourites, and more.

The 2025 Jersey International Air Display will take place on Thursday 11 September between 1pm and 5pm.

The action happens in the skies above St Aubin's Bay.

This year, we can expect the RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team, as well as fast jets, vintage warbirds and classic aircraft.

Coming from France, there is the Junkers JU52 3M, which is the type used in Jersey, bringing German wounded to the underground hospital.

The Jersey favourite - the Bronco - is returning, and a Firecat, a water bomber, will make an appearance.

The show will close with the Red Arrows.

On the lower park, there will be a food area, children's area, and modern car and military vehicle displays.

Mike Higgins says "We are trying to restore the display to what it was (before the Covid-19 pandemic): more aircraft, activities on the ground, and static displays at Jersey Airport.

"This has been the most difficult year to organise, raising money and dealing with different authorities.

"Additionally, we have more regulatory requirements, and other requirements, which have cost us an extra £20,000.

"We have tried to diversify our funding so that we wouldn't have to appeal for crowdfunding, but these additional costs at short notice mean we will have to ask the public to assist us again, either by buying the programmes that are on sale, attending the static display at the airport, or donating to our Sportsgiving page."

The static display - a chance to get a closer look at the aircraft on the tarmac at Jersey Airport - is happening on Wednesday between 3 pm and 7 pm and on Thursday from 9am-10.30am.  Entry is £5 for adults, free for under 14s.

The latest display timetable can be found here.

Restricted airspace rules covering the whole island are in place from 12.45pm -5pm Wednesday and Thursday  - banning the operation of any drones.

Traffic restrictions will be in place, including the full closure of Victoria Avenue between 12pm and 6pm.

The forecast for Thursday is for sunny periods and showers, with fresh to strong west or southwesterly winds.
