A man allegedly knocked on the door and asked for car keys, holding a small knife.
Police are investigating an attempted robbery at a property on La Route de la Haule in St Brelade at 5:35 pm on Saturday, 7 February.
It's alleged that a man knocked on the door of the house, and when it was opened, asked for their car keys, holding a small knife.
The man did not enter the house, and no one was injured.
Officers are seeking to identify a male, dressed in a black jacket with a hood up, grey baggy jogging bottoms, wearing black boots or trainers.
He was carrying a dark rucksack with white, possibly Adidas details, and was seen in the area at the time.
It appears to be an isolated incident, and police reassure the public that they are doing everything they can to identify the suspect.
