26 organisations have each got a share of £134,000 to boost sport in Jersey.
£134,122 has been awarded to 26 island sport organisations through the first round of the 2025 Supportin' Sport Fund.
The fund was launched in 2024 thanks to a generous legacy left by the late Valerie Guy, a dance teacher who taught thousands of islanders over many decades.

The fund was created to honour Valerie’s generosity, after her death aged 101, by giving back directly to Jersey’s sports clubs, groups, and organisations.

Following its success, this year, the fund has been extended to £150,000 so more projects can 'get off the ground'.
