M&S in St Brelade is set to become a Foodhall.
Sandpiper CI plans to convert the fashion, home and beauty store at Red Houses into two floors of food and groceries.
It says the proposed 'fresh market-style foodhall' will include an in-store bakery, flowers and wine shop.
There will be a 'collect by car' service.
If planning consent is given, work could start in the autumn.
The store will close temporarily for re-fit, and re-open later this year.
St Brelade would be the fifth standalone M&S foodhall in Jersey. There used to be a small food department in the basement of the existing shop at Les Quennevais.
An M&S spokesperson, added: “It’s brilliant to have the opportunity to bring M&S Food to even more customers in Jersey and the new store design would make shopping at St Brelade all that more enjoyable and convenient.”
