Remember when a giant floating Earth came to Queen's Valley Reservoir? Well, next month Jersey is getting the Moon.

Created by the same artist - Luke Jerram  - the 'Museum of the Moon' will be suspended inside St Helier Methodist Centre.

The ArtHouse Jersey experience will be free for people to visit and get up close to the spectacular six metre tall illuminated artwork.

Floating Earth was brought here in 2023 and drew more than 30,000 visitors.

'Museum of the Moon'-  featuring highly detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface - is part of the Butterfield Public Art Series.

It combines light and a specially created soundscape bring a new perspective on Earth's closest celestial neighbour.

The artwork has been presented 350 times in more than 40 countries  - including Glastonbury Festival to the Commonwealth Games in Australia.

It will be here from Sunday 15 to Sunday 29 November.

Chief Executive of ArtHouse Jersey, Tom Dingle, said:

"These large-scale public art projects have a wonderful ability to capture people's imaginations and bring the whole Island together.

"With Moon, we're continuing our commitment to bringing ambitious international art to Jersey and making it accessible to everyone, free of charge.

"We're particularly looking forward to seeing St Helier Methodist Centre transformed and welcoming people who might never normally think of visiting an art exhibition.”

Crowds flocked to Queen's Valley Reservoir to see 'Floating Earth' in 2023.
