In an age of acronyms, terminology, and a plethora of financial products, financial literacy and education is an important life skill. That’s why HSBC is pleased to partner with Island FM’s Money Matters initiative. Over the course of this series, we’ll discuss financial education, financial wellbeing and financial security.
In this episode, we’ll talk about the work that HSBC is doing with schools to help pupils understand the world of money management and supporting them as they embark on their aims and goals for later in life, whether that’s saving for a must-buy or paying a deposit on a flat.
We’ll also discuss why the earlier financial education begins, the more productive the outcome – for the individual and society. Carlos Marcelo, HSBC Business Development Director and Alvaro Teixeira, HSBC Head of Wealth & Personal Banking discuss the ways we can support children and young people in their financial education.
