Operation Carson will target drivers who ignore pedestrian crossings and traffic lights.
Guernsey Police say feedback from islanders shows the number doing this to be 'worrying.'
The revised Highway Code has a hierarchy of road users with the most vulnerable, pedestrians, to be shown courtesy and care by drivers.
Police say they have had reports of cars jumping amber or red lights and in the worst case this has led to crashes.
Operation Carson will focus on the busiest pedestrian crossings and drivers are warned that police will also look out for the 'fatal five' which include speeding and using a phone at the wheel.
