The advice is check in as usual unless your airline tells you otherwise following national flight chaos.
A technical issue with National Air Traffic Control grounded more than 1,000 UK and Channel Island flights yesterday (8 September), with limited activity at Guernsey Airport.
Despite this, the early departures are leaving Guernsey on time.
The advice from Guernsey Airport to travellers today is to check in on time unless advised otherwise by your airline.
But, the backlog of flights at UK airports could cause some delays and knock on effects here.
70 stranded passengers were given emergency overnight accommodation at Styx Community Centre and some will leave Guernsey by boat today, others by plane, where there are spaces.
Early September is traditionally the busiest part of the tourist season and island bed space is limited.
Guernsey Airport director Richard Thomasson praised the team effort after an emergency accommodation plan was enacted:
"Our teams will be working with the airlines to minimise the disruption as best we can, and get things back to normal as quickly as possible.
“My thanks go to them, and to Visit Guernsey, the States emergency planning officers, and all our other partners for their help in assisting all those passengers who have been affected.“
