Organisers say last year's trial was a success and as a result the 2026 air display will begin at 6.30pm on 9 September.
Last year's display broke the mould by being staged in the early evening.
Behind it was a move to get more locals to the Town seafront and not cause disruption to schoolchildren during the middle of the day.
The weather last September was overcast and cool but the evening display went down well, says Flying Display Director Barry Neal:
"A survey conducted on the evening of the display revealed two-thirds of visitors questioned said they had come to Guernsey purely for the event and they would return for future events, which is fantastic news for Guernsey tourism."
Event organiser Natalie Davidson says the food village on the Crown Pier was a welcome addition and people she spoke to enjoyed the atmosphere:
"The feedback we had last year from locals has been so positive with individuals telling us it was the first time they had been able to watch the Display in years, families who had never been able to watch the Display together and hospitality businesses in St Peter Port reporting a boost in their mid-week takings."
Given these reasons, this year's display will begin at 6.30pm on Wednesday 9 September.
Corporate sponsorship is still needed to get the aircraft over and the line up will be announced in due course.
