Aurigny's inaugural Guernsey to Paris Charles de Gaulle flight takes off this morning, 1 April.
The service will run twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays.
Aurigny says it will take around 70 minutes to fly between Guernsey and the French capital's international hub airport.
While many people will be using the service to holiday in Paris, it will enable others to use Charles de Gaulle to take an international connection.
Aurigny says bookings are good for the month of April, and beyond.
The route has backing from the Economic Development Committee as it opens up a new, regular air route into Europe. That backing will extend to a subsidy worth nearly £1M over a period of three years, but this will only be paid if the route doesn't hit its financial targets.
