The switching on of the lights will signal the start of Christmas for many islanders.
For many, the lights of Rotary's Tree of Joy represent the start of Christmas.
The Rotary Club says the display will be strung to the mast ahead of the star being put in place.
This will be carried out by deputy Lyndon Trott on 3 November. He will be lifted in a cherry picker to the full height of the mast and if it is too windy on Sunday 3, then it will be rescheduled for 17 November.
He is being asked to carry out the task in recognition of his long service as a deputy.
The big switch on takes place at 6pm on 29 November.
For several decades, the Rotary campaign has provided Christmas presents for less well off Bailiwick youngsters, who otherwise may not receive anything.
The Rotary Club says gift tags, which indicate the present desired, will be available for people to collect soon.
