It has been confirmed that Deputy Gavin St Pier will continue as P&R committee Vice President and Treasury lead while a police investigation continues.
One week ago, deputy Gavin St Pier issued a personal statement to say that he and his wife had been interviewed by police under caution, but had been released without charge.
Police arrested them following a complaint alleging harassment, but Deputy St Pier has always maintained their innocence.
Guernsey's most senior politician, Lindsay de Sausmarez, has issued a short statement following a meeting of her Policy and Resources committee to discuss Deputy St Pier:
"The Committee does not believe it would be appropriate to take any action until the police investigation has concluded.
"Until then, the Committee will maintain a neutral position and Deputy St Pier will continue to fulfill his Committee responsibilities."
The week before, the deputy survived a Code of Conduct debate in the Assembly.
This focused on a conversation he'd had with a Guardian journalist who was looking into complaints about safeguarding at the Medical Specialist Group.
The fall-out from the vote was that the Standards Commissioner resigned her post almost immediately after the debate and recruitment for a replacement is underway.
