Storage levels begin to recover but people are asked not to waste water.
As we head towards the equinox and the traditional beginning of autumn, Guernsey Water says storage levels are about right for the time of year.
This is despite a summer of very little rain, where islanders used 555 million litres of water between June and August.
Bringing Longue Hougue fully back on line last month has also made a positive impact.
The massive quarry in St Sampsons holds 27% of Guernsey's storage capacity but it was impacted by the detection of the banned pesticide Metamitron.
At the time, Guernsey Water said just half a litre of the chemical was enough to taint the billion litres held in the quarry.
Guernsey Water says it still wants people to minimise their wastage of water by not running taps when brushing their teeth and having shorter showers.
However, it says as long as the coming months are rainy, it is confident it can reach 100% storage over the winter.
