An EasyJet flight from Alicante was forced to divert to Jersey this afternoon after a passenger fell ill on board.
The Airbus A320 was en route to London Southend.
The passenger was met at Jersey Airport by emergency services and taken by ambulance to hospital.

In a statement, EasyJet confirmed the flight was diverted here by a medical emergency:
“We can confirm that flight EZY7416 from Alicante to London Southend on 26 February diverted to Jersey due to a passenger on board requiring urgent medical assistance.
“The aircraft was met by medical services on arrival in Jersey and the flight will now continue Southend.
“The safety and wellbeing of our passengers and crew is always our highest priority.”
In a short statement, Jersey's Health Department has confirmed it's unrelated to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
