Applications are now open for Jersey's Sport's 2027 Performance Sport Programme.
More than £100,000 is available to help the island's talented athletes, coaches, and officials develop and perform.
The programme supports them over four performance levels:
- Podium
- Podium Potential
- Talent Development
- Talent ID
As well as financial support, participants can get help with the likes of strength and conditioning, nutrition, sports psychology, medical support and injury rehabilitation, media training, and anti-doping education.
Don Blampied, Sport Development Officer (Pathways) at Jersey Sport, and programme lead, said:
"I’m really proud of how the programme has grown since launching in 2024 and what it’s helping sportspeople in Jersey sport to achieve their dreams.
"There is so much talent, hard work and commitment in our island’s sporting community, and being able to help people take the next step in their journey is what makes this programme so worthwhile.
"We’ve come a long way, but there’s still so much potential. With more than £100,000 available for 2027, I’d love to see even more athletes, coaches and officials make the most of the opportunities on offer.
"We want to make sure our athletes, coaches and officials have the support to take the next step, whatever that looks like for them. If you’re involved in performance sport in Jersey and think the programme could help you, I’d encourage you to review the programme criteria and apply."
Table tennis player Hannah Silcock, who has benefited from the programme, said:
"The Performance Sport Programme has made a profound difference to the level of competition I can now participate in.
"It has allowed me to continue competing on the European and world stage and helps contribute towards the costs involved. The communication and assistance from Jersey Sport is brilliant. Thanks again."
Applications close at 12 noon on Friday 6 November 2026.
