Jersey's government is branching out, planting more trees on Broad Street.
Over the next few weeks, islanders will notice the 'greenification' of the central St Helier road, as part of its pedestrianisation.
The existing trees along the road will also be receiving some much-needed TLC to improve their growing conditions and help to extend their lifespans.
Infrastructure and Environment believes that this will create a more welcoming environment and will contribute to 'long-term sustainable town greening'.
The works began on 1 September 2025 and are expected to last until autumn 2027.

The first phase of work has been to repave the section from Lloyds Bank on the corner of Conway Street, up to the Post Office, with a new granite surface to match New Cut's recent upgrade.
