The Garden of Remembrance at St Luke's Church in Howard Davis Park has been vandalised.
A memorial bench and flower planters were smashed.
In a social media post the church said: "It's hard to imagine what pleasure someone would take from smashing a bench given in memory of someone, or a flower planter in the Garden of Remembrance where we inter people's ashes."

Police say it happened sometime between 6.45 pm on Tuesday and 7.30am on Wednesday.
Anyone who saw the damage being done is asked to contact police on 612612 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their Anonymous Online Form at Crimestoppers-uk.org
