The lighthouse at Corbière will stay floodlit at night until 12 May.
After its overwhelming success, the iconic Jersey landmark will remain golden for two more weeks.
Ports of Jersey has illuminated the lighthouse to celebrate 150 years since it began guiding vessels though our treacherous waters.
The special golden hue had been expected to end on Sunday night (28 April)
But it has been extended by a fortnight and will now be lit for Liberation Day and National Fishing Remembrance Day, the latter being a time to reflect and commemorate all those who have lost their lives whilst working for the fishing industry.

Harbour Master Captain Bill Sadler says the team has been delighted and overwhelmed by the positive reaction to the anniversary celebrations.
"The area has been very popular in the evenings and I have seen some amazing photos.
"I hope this extension will offer more time for people to view the sight in person, while also providing a backdrop to Jersey’s national day and the remembrance day for commercial fishers."

Corbière Lighthouse will also be lit in white on the night of 2 May, to honour Ann Robins.
The 84-year-old passed away after the car she was in fell 20ft from a cliff at the site.
Her family has requested she be remembered on the night of her funeral.
