Jersey's government has doubled the amount available in a grant to install an electric vehicle charger at your home or business.
It was giving a £350 incentive, but that is now £700.
Charities are also eligible, and can apply for up to ten across multiple sites.
The government says the change recognises 'the diverse operational needs of businesses', and aims to speed up the move to electric fleets.
Environment Minister Steve Luce hopes that making the scheme more generous will boost take-up:
“This increase is designed to further encourage the uptake of private smart chargers at homes and commercial premises, helping to reduce pressure on the public charging network and improve access for islanders without private parking.
"These changes reflect our commitment to supporting sustainable transport and reducing emissions.”
The EVCI will continue to run until the end of 2025.
