In a busy weekend for JFRS, a family of five was rescued from the rising tide near Seymour Tower, and a dog was recovered from the cliff paths above Bouley Bay.
Jersey Fire and Rescue Service was called late Sunday afternoon (27 April) to a family who had become trapped while exploring the island's coastline near Seymour Tower.
The five people were unable to make their own way back to shore because of the incoming tide.
However, they had made it to the refuge tower - which lies halfway between the tower and the shore - and were picked up from there by the inshore rescue boat.
On Saturday (26 April), fire crews made a rope rescue of a springer spaniel trapped on the cliffs east of Bouley Bay.
The dog's owners had realised they could not safely reach their pet themselves and called for help.
Firefighters found and secured the dog, who was 'extremely tired' but otherwise unhurt, and reunited the spaniel with its owners.
