Lyndon Farnham will remain Jersey’s Chief Minister, after being the only candidate to put themselves forward.
It was understood that Senatorial polltopper Helen Miles was considering challenging, but she was one of the politicians to nominate Senator-elect Farnham for the top role.
He will nominate Senator-elect Miles for Justice and Home Affairs Minister.
The States Greffe has confirmed Farnham was the only Senator-elect to submit the required paperwork.

A joint statement has been released by Senator-elects Farnham and Miles, in which they say a mutual agreement has been reached for Senator-elect Farnham to continue as Chief Minister.
Senator-elect Miles said:
"I am grateful to Lyndon for his constructive approach to our discussions this week.
"Since the result of the election was confirmed, several islanders and States Members have asked me to put my name forward for Chief Minister, and I have given that proper consideration during the week. I greatly appreciate the support I have received.
"I recognise that Lyndon has a strong level of support within the Assembly to continue in his current role. It was therefore important that we came to a mutual agreement, for the benefit of the island, so that we could move forward positively without a divisive and unnecessary contest."
Senator-elect Farnham said:
"I thank Helen for her positive approach to our discussions this week and look forward to welcoming her back into the government.
"We will be working closely together, as well as with the new Council of Ministers and the wider States Assembly, to continue to make progress on the issues that matter most to islanders and to build confidence in Jersey’s future."
As he is the only States member to put himself forward, there will be no vote at the next States meeting on Friday 19 June.
He will still be required to set out his vision to States Members though, and answer their questions, at the special sitting.
He will then put forward who he wants to be on his team of ministers - those choices can be challenged in elections later this month.
