Highlands' Huge Reunion Celebrations

Highlands is celebrating and showcasing its community with three events this week.

Starting the events on 22 June, sixth form students will receive Pride awards from the different departments.

Pupils will be presented with trophies at a formal awards ceremony, followed by DJ sets by Wonky Factory's HEDGIE and Damen Salgado and a barbeque.

College Principal, Jo Terry-Marchant says the college wants to connect former and current students to create a network.

"The sixth form Pride Awards celebrate that excellence but obviously without alumni, the people who were former students, those people are living those values every day, working and living in Jersey, making a positive difference."

Later in the evening, from 6 pm, past and present students and their families and friends are invited to join in on the celebrations for a special reunion.

A mini-festival will be taking place on the grounds to mark 50 years there, with more of Wonky Factory's DJ sets and bands, Intermission, and Lauren & Ivy.

Some of Jersey's favourite food stalls will also be at the evening's events, including The Paddock Bar, Naughty Monkeys, Not Posh Pizza and The Waffle Van.

There will also be a bar for older students and alumni.

"The reunion event offers a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with old friends, share memories and discover where people are now."

Additionally, guests can sign up for the Highlands Connected network, a platform for graduates to stay connected and network with the growing community.
