A St Helier household has had to contend with 80 Asian hornets in a spare bedroom.
They were coming in down a chimney stack.
Hornet hunters had several reports from residents of the angry invasive insects flying around aimlessly in the area of Victoria Crescent, Upper Midvale Road.
A nest was found, but when it was examined by a pest controller it wasn't an established nest.
It was a new structure 'under furious construction by multiple hornets'.
On Thursday (3 October), a downed Secondary nest was spotted hidden in undergrowth nearby, in an area used by children and dog walkers.
The Jersey Asian Hornet Group posted footage on their Facebook page, adding the commentary that the hornets 'weren't happy' when they were dealt with.
"Chaos at surrounding properties and the danger caused by an Asian Hornet nest fallen to the ground in the middle of St Helier..!"
