'Infertility Is...' Photo Campaign Launched

Newly registered charity 'Tiny Seeds' has launched a photography campaign to spread the message to anyone experiencing infertility issues that they are not alone.

Tiny Seeds was formed in 2020 as a support and awareness group.

£2,335 was raised in a fundraiser last year to increase the level of support it could offer to people who are feeling isolated and lonely.

It has become an officially registered charity this week and to mark that news, 40 images have been released to show the struggles that one in six couples face when hoping to extend their families.

The photos feature men, women, and children holding up boards with the words 'Infertility is...' and a unique end to the sentence.

"In addition to providing vital support and awareness, Tiny Seeds wants those facing infertility in Jersey to know that that the charity is committed to campaigning for the continued development and improvement of the fertility services available here on island, along with the implementation of a fair and equitable funding system for IVF treatment." - Tiny Seeds.

The charity has also launched a new website as a 'first port of call' for information and support around fertility and fertility support in Jersey.

Founder Chloé Fosse hopes this will help them to reach even more people who may need their support.

"Infertility can be an extremely isolating thing to go through, but with the help of our wonderful campaign volunteers we are demonstrating that while the reality of infertility is too often heartbreak and loss, there is hope, there is support and no-one has to face it alone."

Charity volunteers are in De Gruchy's today (Saturday 2 April) to explain what they do and the plans for the future.
