Headlines have enwreathed the outgoing CEO's stint at the utility company, including the tragic suspected gas explosion at Haut du Mont in Jersey, which took the lives of 10 islanders in December 2022 and remains under investigation.
There was also an island-wide gas outage in October 2023, which left 4,500 Jersey homes and businesses without hot water, heating and cookers for up to two weeks.
Island Energy offered those affected an £11.56 'goodwill' payment.
The company then announced a price increase of around £13.80 a year extra, in Jersey, just two months after the disruption.

Island Energy's Jersey network was also investigated in June 2024.
The utility company initially did not detect any gas escape on the night of the blast at the family home. However, it acknowledged in a statement the results of the Fire Service investigation and said it continued to 'work with the relevant authorities'.
Jo Cox's successor as CEO is responsible for 180 IEG employees across Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man. The group's last annual report said it invested £5m across the islands in 2023 to improve and maintain the supply networks.
