Speaking in a video online, Claudia Alves, who accompanied him and the van to the UK drop-off point, says they are delivering it to a company that will handle direct transport to Venezuela - Lonebox Express.
She also thanked DFDS, which she said has saved them £1,200.
She said that when they heard the trip was for humanitarian aid, they donated the van ticket to get from Jersey to the UK, charging them only the regular fare.
