A new area in the departures hall prepares Jersey Airport for increased numbers of families with young children getting away for half-term.
A family area has been created in the departure lounge of Jersey Airport, featuring a large chalk-board wall, games and toys.
Ports of Jersey say more entertainment will come in the next few weeks and families are encouraged to give their views on what they want to see added.
It has been put together with advice and support from the charity Brighter Future in time for the busy February half-term holidays.
The charity will also be part of a group advising on the further development of the main departure lounge later this year.
The charity’s CEO Fiona Brennan said: “It’s encouraging to see that Ports of Jersey is considering the experience of families in their designs for the new departures hall, and I’m pleased we could help with ideas for this family area."
Passengers will find a QR code on the wall of the family area which takes them to a feedback form.
Sarah-Louise Stubbs, Head of Customer Experience for Jersey Airport, said the area will be a place 'where youngsters can relax, draw, and read a selection of books before their flights.'

The airport expects more than 9,000 departing passengers over the first weekend of half term (14 – 17 February) with more than 40,000 arriving and departing passengers throughout the week (14 – 23 February).
