There was a special arrival through Jersey airport yesterday - a piece of football silverware.

Jersey has won the interleague cup after a combination XI thrashed West Cheshire League 5-1 in the final at St George's Park on Liberation Day.

Sol Solomon scored a brace. Jake Prince, Luke Campbell, and Luca Margaroli were the other scorers.

The players were greeted by the Covid 19 swab team with signs congratulating them on their victory.

It's the first time the JFA has won the trophy since beating the Isle Of Man Football League 2-1 in 2012.
