Jersey Cricket men's team play at Lord's

Jersey Crickets men's squad are playing at the prestigious Lord's Cricket Ground.

They'll be at the home of cricket Today (16 April) to play the Marylebone Cricket Club.

It's part of strengthening the game worldwide, and in the island.

It says it's also part of preparing to qualify in May for the ICC T20 World Cup Sub-Regional Europe Qualifier in May.

CEO Sarah Gomersall said it's an honour:

"The occasion offers players, and everyone involved, a unique opportunity to experience one of the most historic venues in world sport, adding further
significance to an already meaningful fixture.

It also provides an opportunity to recognise the contribution of Jersey-based officials, with Mr R L Stockton and Mr S Selvachandran appointed as umpires and Mr Y N Patel as scorer.”

It also comes ahead of an exciting weekend of cricket, with Scotland visiting the island to play four matches at Grainville on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 April.
