A number of winners will be crowned in tonight’s first ever Jersey Sport and Active Living awards.
Commonwealth Games stars Serena Guthrie, Lucy O’Sullivan and Alex Coleborn, along with BMXer Alex Coleborn and archer Lucy O’Sullivan will fight it out for Sports Performance of the Year.
Local schools and volunteers will also be recognised for the work they do to promote active living.
“This is a real opportunity to celebrate all those success stories, whether it’s right at the top or whether it’s a volunteer behind the scenes doing something to keep a local club going.
“The Hall of Fame as well will honour seven Jersey sporting legends from years gone by that really stood up there right at the top of their particular sports.”
Around 150 nominations were received across all categories.
The ceremony starts at 6:30pm this evening (8th November) at the Royal Yacht.
