A flag has been raised at the Cenotaph in St Helier to mark Commonwealth Day.
The Bailiff says it's a time to reflect on Her Majesty the Queen's life of service as Head of the Commonwealth.
"This year is historic, as we celebrate Her Majesty’s remarkable reign as the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, her other Realms, and the Commonwealth."
The flag was raised in the presence of the Chief Minister, the Constable of St Helier, the Deputy Bailiff, and His Excellency Sir Stephen Dalton GCB.
More than 1,000 Commonwealth flags are being raised around the world.
The annual Commonwealth Day Service has taken place at Westminster Abbey later today, but the Queen was not in attendance.
The Prince of Wales represented Her Majesty, who recently recovered from Covid-19.

This year's theme is 'Delivering a Common Future', which focuses on Her Majesty's Jubilee year and the role service plays in the lives of people and communities across the Commonwealth.
The Jersey Branch of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association is celebrating the occasion.
