Jersey Zoo welcomes its first Red Panda

Esha the Red Panda is the newest member at Jersey Zoo.

Red pandas are found in the eastern Himalayas, and their diet mainly consists of bamboo.

With six digits, they’re incredibly adept climbers with the ability to climb down headfirst - so make sure you look up to see her!

When they’re not climbing, these animals are usually asleep, some using their big bushy tail as a blanket in colder weather.

Jersey Zoo have shared this video of Esha's first step in her new enclosure...
