Cheaper parking for lower emissions cars in Jersey will end next week ( 31 December).
The government announced last December that its Eco Permit Scheme would cease on the final day of 2024.
It was introduced in 2008 to encourage the uptake of electric vehicles.
It offered free parking in States-owned car parks for 12 months from the vehicle's first registration, and then half-price parking after that.
But as electric cars have become more common, it has affected income from parking charges.
The government says: "As electric vehicles become more common, the reduced parking revenue that results from this scheme inevitably limits funds available for key island infrastructure improvements."
1210 people received a Jersey government grant of £3,500 to buy an electric vehicle.
The Electric Vehicle Purchase Incentive closed earlier this month.
