Passport Needed For Poole Sailings

A valid passport is now needed for Condor passengers who board high-speed sailings between Poole and the Channel Islands that go via Cherbourg.

The ferry firm says it's been notified of a 'change of approach' by authorities because the boat will enter French territorial waters on sailings up to, and including, 14 February.

"It is only for services between Poole, Guernsey, and Jersey up to and including 14 February, and the numbers travelling are very low at this time of year.

Passengers are to present their passport to either the UK or Channel Islands’ border authorities.

They are not regarded as an arrival in France for duty-free or Covid reasons. For travellers who do not hold a valid travel document, they can be re-booked onto our Portsmouth services with Commodore Clipper." - Condor Ferries' spokesperson.
