As well as revamped wicker puffins, the Plémont headland is getting a pond.
Jersey Water, Fire Service Volunteers, and the National Trust for Jersey have been at the headland filling up what used to be the Pontin's holiday camp swimming pool.
It was filled in the 2010s, but problems with the lining meant it drained out and never held water. It has been dry for over a decade.
But now it has been lined and filled with 200,000 litres of water, ready to welcome wildlife back to the spot.
Daniel Keane, Countryside Ranger, says we can expect wildlife to move in very soon:
"We've put a new liner in, and we're going to re-landscape the whole area and make it look pretty, basically, make it look more natural that it does now.
"Wildlife will start coming when the chlorine burns off, which will be in about two weeks, and then, within a year, you won't be able to tell the work that went into installing it because it will look wild.
"We'll be doing planting, and a volunteer group from Greening Jersey will be up this week to do some soft landscaping and some planting - basically all the fun bits."
Firefighter David Ryan filled up the original pond over a decade ago, and volunteered again:
"The community and the National Trust are brilliant here; I'm a great supporter of our nature and more than happy to help.
"I can't remember when it was we previously did it, but I'm back here again
"Just a thank you to the Chief for letting us borrow his truck."
