Princess Anne To Visit Jersey

Princess Anne will be visiting Jersey in July, and will take in the Tortoise Takeover Trail whilst in the island.

HRH The Princess Royal will be in Jersey on Thursday 13 July.

She will officially unveil the King's Arch at Government House and open the Aldabran Tortoise House at Jersey Zoo.

Her Royal Highness will also visit the Tortoise Takeover Trail, having picked one of the sculpture designs to mark her 50 years as patron of the wildlife trust.

'Sanctuary' by Gabriella Street, which is inspired by Her Royal Highness' fashion choices from the past and present, will be given to her after this summer's trail.

The forthcoming royal visit was announced this morning (13 June) in the States Chamber by the Bailiff.

Princess Anne is a regular visitor to the island and was last here in June 2021 when she opened Les Quennevais school, the Strive sports training centre and the zoo's butterfly enclosure.

This will the Queen's daughter's first trip to Jersey since her brother King Charles' ascended to the throne.

She was ranked the most popular royal, but recent polls now put her joint-second behind Prince William and alongside the Princess of Wales.
